WHO WE ARE...
Belleview Christian Church is an independent, autonomous, non-denominational church, whose members have come from a wide variety of backgrounds and doctrinal persuasions. We desire to contribute to the unity of believers rather than be a part of the divisions, finding commonality in Christ and his word.
โ
We do not require that members subscribe to a formal creed. In a very real sense, “we have no creed but Christ, no book but the Bible.” The twin basis of our unity is our faith in Jesus as the Christ, the Son of the living God, and our adherence to the Bible as the Word of God. We seek unity of understanding in the essentials of our faith, yet we do not suggest that we must agree on all things pertaining to our walk in Christ.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
-
Jesus Christ is the one and only Son of God who died for our sins and rose from the dead. [1 Corinthians 15: 1-8]
-
That the Bible is the inspired Word of God. [2 Timothy 3:16]
-
That every person has worth as a creation of God, but that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. [Romans 3:23]
-
That forgiveness of sins and the promise of eternal life are available to those who trust Christ as Savior and Lord. [John 3:16]
-
That those accepting Christ should repent of sin, confess their faith and be baptized into Him. [Romans 10:9, Acts 2:38]
-
That the Church is the body of Christ on earth, empowered by the Holy Spirit and exists to save the lost and edify the saved. [Ephesians 4:1-16]
-
That Jesus Christ will one day return to earth and reign forever as the King of kings and Lord of lords. [1 Thessalonians 4:13-18]
OUR VISION
Transforming Lives One At a Time
โ
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.
โ
OUR MISSION
Going Into All the World To Find the Lost and Make Disciples For Jesus
โ
Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
โ
OUR CORE VALUES
The Bible is Our Final Authority
โ
"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
โ
Being a Holy People
โ
because it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”
โ
โ
Being Culturally Relevant
โ
...I have become all things to all men, so that I may by all means save some.
โ
โ
Being Faithful Stewards
โ
And Jesus said to them, “Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.” And they were amazed at Him.

PURPOSE
The purpose of Belleview Christian Church centers in the person of Jesus Christ. We have been called together in Christ to unite in commitment to him and his teaching and to express His life and love in the world.
โ
-
We emphasize the unity of all Christians under the Lordship of Christ as expressed in the New Testament basis of personal faith in Jesus Christ.
-
We have no written creed, but rather place our beliefs on the Bible as our authority for knowing God, and living as He would have us to live in the world and in the shared fellowship of His Church.
-
We are an autonomous congregation exercising our ministry under the authority of Christ and the New Testament. For this reason we belong to no denomination -- we are Christians only.
-
In obedience to Christ's commands and the example of the Apostles, we practice believer's immersion (Acts 2:38) and weekly celebrate the Lord's death, burial and resurrection in the Lord's supper (Luke 22:19; Acts 2:42; 20:7).
-
We seek to serve under the shepherding and direction of the Eldership established by the Apostles for the guidance of each individual congregation (1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9; 1 Peter 5:2).
-
We plead for the unity of all Christians in Jesus Christ (John 17:20-21).
-
We encourage one another as a community of faith to grow in servant hood to our Lord Jesus with our time, talents, and tithing (Malachi 3:6-13).
